Infuence of eardrum position on sound transmission
Krbálek, Jaroslav ; Dušek, Daniel (referee) ; Pellant, Karel (advisor)
The human eardrum is inclined at an angle of 50 ° t o the axis of external auditory canal. The main objective of this thesis was to determine the impact of the inclination on sound transmission characteristics of external ear canal. It was observed influence of the various features of the eardrum and of the malleus weight on calculated transmission characteristics. Simple finite element model (FEM model) was created in the ANSYS program. The acoustic subsystem of the outer ear tube, elastic eardrum and solid malleus were created. The external ear canal model was modeled as one sided open cylinder which was terminated diagonally bedded with eardrum. In addition to the impact of the eardrum inclination, the influence of the eardrum elasticity and the weight of malleus on the sound transmission characteristics of external ear canal was also monitored. The eventual presence of the coincidence effect was also studied.
Optimization of use properties Lead-Acid batteries
Lábus, Radek ; Dostál, Zdeněk (referee) ; Jareš, Petr (referee) ; Křivík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the limitations of degradation mechanisms of Lead-Acid batteries, which significantly contributes unequal distribution of current (and therefore internal resistance, charge passed and power loss) on the surface of the electrodes of Lead-Acid battery. The unevenness of distribution of these parameters significantly influences the distribution of current tabs on the electrodes. In this work it was developed realistic model of Lead-Acid battery cell with plate electrodes with different variants of the distribution of current tabs. Measured results obtained in this model were compared with the results found out from the mathematical simulations. Through these simulations, it was possible to take a look deeply into the processes and changes in the electrodes of Lead-Acid batteries during discharge. Goal of this work was for predefined variants of positioning of the current tabs to simulate distribution of current, internal resistance, charge passed and power loss during discharge. Another goal was to compare the different variants and to find the optimal variant of current tabs positioning based on minimizing of unevenness of examined variables distribution.
Hydraulic analysis of the Hnojník water supply system
Nováková, Jana ; Tureček,, Jan (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis is focused on hydraulic analysis of Hnojnik water supply system. The structure of this thesis is devided into several parts. The first part focuses on general hydraulic analysis, possibilities of using matematic modeling, and types of analysis that can be performed in a water network. Next section contains a list and brief characteristics of software tools used for hydraulic analysis. Attention is focused on the EPANET 2.0 which was used to build a model of Hnojnik water supply system. The last section describes the construction of the network model, input data used for modeling and evaluation od hydraulic analysis.
Experimental determination of the hydrodynamic load of the flooded bridge model
Naiser, Dominik ; Hrdlička, Libor (referee) ; Zubík, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with experimental determination of hydrodynamic load on the overflowed bridge deck model. In the first part of the thesis the author describes the analysis of the problem together with the basic physical laws and principles that are used or assumed in the measurement itself. In the second part the author describes the measurements in the laboratory of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and its gradual processing. At the end of the work are described the results of measurement, their comparison with numerical modeling, other authors and their possible use in practice.
Mathematical modelling of walking robots
Analysis of Corporate Performance Using Mathematical Modelling and Computer System to the Support of Organization's Strategic Management
Horáková, Eva ; Švehla, Michal (referee) ; Chvátalová, Zuzana (advisor)
The main goal of this diploma thesis is to analyse financial productivity of a chosen company, to find deficiencies and suggest possibilities for improvement of the situation. First there is theoretical part consisting of an introduction of chosen financial indicators, such as profitability, indebtedness etc., and also a description of Maple, programme used for mathematical exercises. In the practical part there is a description of Brno company TRON, the business objective of which is LED lighting. The financial indocators are made in the programme Maple, the balance and also profit and loss accounts for a few consecutive years are analysed, from which we can determine the financial situation of the company. The result should help the chosen company with future decisions.
Mathematical modelling of HTTP network traffic
Miklica, Jan ; Vajsar, Pavel (referee) ; Molnár, Karol (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to capture network tradic on the HTTP protocol. Then from the captured tradic to analyze parameters using selected models and compare them with the achal properties of real network traffic. This bachelor´s thesis describes the HTTP protokol and mathematical modeling, and simulation models developed for it. The document described the capture of data tradic on HTTP using Wireshark. In the next part are performed elemental analysis of selected models. In conclusion the analysis results of the selected models are described.
Controllability assessment of the Roudnice nad Labem sector weir box at extreme floods
Růžek, Patrik ; Haluza,, Miloslav (referee) ; Šulc, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the determination of the load torque during flood conditions on the hydrostatic sectoral weir in Roudnice nad Labem. Problems are solved due to a glitch in the lowering sector. The aim of this study is to determine the resulting torque, of three selected states, which occurred at the water works. The issue was solved as a plane 2D problem using AutoCAD, in which were read the relevant data. It was also used ANSYS software, which modeled the flow of water over the weir to detect pressures acting on overflow face. All calculations are then counted in Microsoft Excel. Force balance is performed on the one-meter design.
Li-ion battery model
Loucký, Vojtěch ; Toman, Marek (referee) ; Cipín, Radoslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with description of the principle of Li-ion cells, literature search on the topic of mathematical models of Li-ion cells and the creation of a selected mathematical model in MATLAB, which is able to simulate the course of voltage and state of charge as a function of time for different ambient conditions, such as various aging of battery .The creation of both the model and the procedure of identification of parameters necessary for the creation of the model are described here as well as different options of identification of parameters. The selected Thevenin model is then compared with the real course and the accuracy of the model is evaluated with respect to the measured course.
Accurate positioning of pneumatic drives
Volf, Marek ; Nevrlý, Josef (referee) ; Marada, Tomáš (advisor)
Thesis starts with brief overview of the present role of pneumatic actuators. Further research is carried out in modelling and control of pneumatic actuators. A basic overview of thermodynamic laws is presented. These laws are used to assemble a mathematical model of the pneumatic drive. Subsequently the identification of model parameters is shown. A controller is propřed using fuzzy PID algorithms. Results are compared with the conventional PID controller.
